Scan2Webapp app for iPhone and iPad

Scan2Webapp was designed to replace traditional and expensive hardware barcode scanners by allowing users to download a smartphone app and simply enter their web applications URL where they wish to scan a barcode to. The user has the ability to change the field name containing the barcode that is sent to their webapp, they can choose whether it should be sent as a GET or POST request, as well as the ability to access the barcode type that was scanned.

Once a barcode is successfully scanned your RESTful API can simply return plaintext that is then displayed within the application to indicate success, or whatever message you wish to display.
